Insider Secret to Success

Sunday Morning

It was early morning. I was sitting at the dining room table, the house was quiet and I am having a cup of coffee, thinking about what I want to get done this week.

A Review of The Past

A number of years ago I would get frustrated with all I needed to do, the amount of time I had available, and not be exhausted by the end of the day.

At the time there never seemed to be enough time in the day. Things would come up which seemingly needed my attention. I found myself doing this, doing that and attempting to stay on track. As they say sometimes in spite of our best efforts, “Life Would Get in the Way”.

May 2013

Back in 2013 I came up with the idea of having the key word “Action” to keep me focused on what I needed to do. While it worked, and my performance improved I still needed to refine the word to do even better.

In 2014

In 2014 I decided if I was to do better and do what needed to be done I had to be growing as well. I then coined the phrase “Grow or Die”.

By 2015

In 2015 I wanted to raise the bar again. I felt if I was going to produce anything of meaning I had to make it a Great Day. In 2015 my tag line became “Make it a Great Day”.

My 2016

In 2016, I re-examined my mantras from the three previous years, the results I had produced, and came to the following conclusions.

  • If I was to take Action- 2013

  • If I was to Grow or Die- 2014

  • If I was to make it a Great Day-2015

In 2016 something else needed to happen!

  • I needed to stay incredibly FOCUSED. To stay focused meant I had to keep my eye on the target all the time.

  • I needed to use my TIME wisely. There is only right now and when it passes, it is gone forever, never to come back and will be replaced with another right now. To think the meter is always running and time is passing never to come back is a startling thought. Think about it, right now, this moment will never come back. It is to be cherished and used wisely. It is a gift from the creator and not to be wasted.

  • I needed to produce RESULTS. Results meant producing something of significance which comes in many flavors. Results can be closing a sale, giving to someone, sharing, creating abundance of all kinds, spending time with someone, volunteering, donating, just listening to someone, being present, prospecting, networking, etc.

Out of a three year period I was able to formulate My Personal 2016 Formula for Success.

  • Stay FOCUSED

  • Use My TIME Wisely

  • Produce a RESULT
