Sales Tip-10 Ways to Spot a Top Sales Performer
My nephew Jordon is attending a college in Virginia with over 30,000 students on campus. He called and told me there
were little to no jobs available in the surrounding towns and needed to make money.
He went on to tell me, when he was at home during the summer he worked as a life guard, worked as a bus boy at a local pub, worked at a catering hall waiting tables and ran his car detailing business.
He had managed to save some money and was now starting a new business on campus.
Jordon had noticed the student body’s attraction to decals was a potential business opportunity. With this is mind he went on line and purchased a decal machine and supplies from someone who was leaving the business.
With the amount of supplies, and being able to get four decals from a sheet of plastic, he estimated he would be able make sales and recoup his initial investment, and make a profit at a certain price point.
Jordon was looking for some advice on how to approach his targeted audience. He knew the size of his suspect pool being around thirty thousand students.
He speculated as to what his close ratio would be based on approaching the student body. He even went on to say there were many places on campus to meet students.
He also asked, that when he came home on break, if we could meet and have me do some coaching with him to which I said yes.
Here is how to spot a winner…
